The importance of a clean bee yard

After bees are installed in a hive, it is very important to remove all the debris from the bee yard.
A beekeeper left the queen cages in the bee yard near the hives. The day after hiving the packages they noticed bees starting to cluster on the cages.
This resulted in one hive leaving their hive and moving in next door. Now one of the hives is empty.
If queen cages are left near the hives this can happen. It is unfortunate that a new beekeeper finds out the hard way. I wanted to mention that this can be a problem and not to be overlooked.
